GOVERNMENT’S decision to make a $2.5 billion withdrawal from the Heritage and Stabilisation Fund (HSF) should not be viewed negatively because it is being used for the purpose created.
And the size of withdrawal is a small percentage of the fund’s value, says economist Dr Roger Hosein who added, âthe very purpose of the Heritage and Stabilisation Fund was to help the economy during trying timesâ. However the monies must be used wisely, he said.
