Trinidad and Tobago Senior Womenâs team goalkeeper Kimika Forbes believes that next Januaryâs CONCACAF Under-20 Womenâs Championship is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the current T&T squad members and a chance for this country to promote the womenâs game on a big scale. Forbes is coming off another successful season with Colombian-club Independiente Santa Fe, with which she won the Colombian Womenâs League. She recently signed a contract extension until May 2018 with Santa Fe and will travel with the Colombian side to face Athletico Bilbaoâs womenâs team in Spain at monthâs end. On arriving home a few weeks ago, Forbes immediately got involved in the game locally, serving as assistant coach for the Signal Hill Secondary Girls team during the latter stages of the 2017 Secondary Schools Football League season.
